Which version are you using as I am getting this on latest version here on local and sandbox testing.

On the latest version shared here & trying old v8.3.2 and still give the same error

I can't connect my GA account with this. It's just sending me back to Setup Wizard's first page. Have you tried that?

hey sorry for my english, nothing on this page works to activate the plugin can anyone help me?
I tried with versions 8.6.0n , 8.7.0n and 7.11.0n (on 3 different sites) and the 12-digit key didn't work.

I'm pretty sure this addon is infected, the linking your account function at least to the google account metrix. On the 24th i installed this, on the 25th i get a notification on my youtube account that i have a channel strike for a video i have not uploaded nor do i usually upload videos, i check my and i have 4 videos uploaded related to apex legends, fortnite etc all spreading viruses. I check my google apps and i notice i have zapier youtube connected and i though that was it, someone is in my zapiar ill just unlink it + i did a malwarebytes scan of my pc which came up empty. Well lo and behond 6 hours ago i get another notification Suspicious App Detected and another password reset. The ONLY issue i got was after i linked my google account to this extension. Avoid linking.(Which renders it useless tho.)
