WP Rocket - Best WordPress Caching Plugin

WP Rocket - Best WordPress Caching Plugin v3.15.10

No permission to download
A balance of WP Rocket and Perfmatters (for unused css and other benefits), and the use of a decent page builder i.e Oxygen or Bricks gives you some amazing results.

Not forgetting optimisation of images (without any use of plugins) by using https://squoosh.app/ and opting for a minimum of 10 to 15 plugins max, all checked by https://wphive.com/ for their speed, security and more, helps with overhaul optimisation and security

This can also be a cause of your hosting company. Try and avoid shared hosting, and if you cannot for cost purposes, use a WP hosting package for the benefit of PHP memory, security, backup and more. All sites on these platforms are using the same CMS and helps reduce issues with security and much better support, especially for clients etc.

There is more you can do to help but never always rely on Google or GT Metrix for their accuracy and honesty. If you build a site with speed and optimisation in mind you should be fine.
Thank you. Do you think this plugin is good?

WP Litespeed Cache

Thank you for great opinion and documentation but I always saying that optimization is beginning when you starting to make web pages. I have used wprocket some cases (depends for clients and client requests) sometimes I've used wp-optimize etc never mind.

People who want to become "web designer" should to know that there have NO plugin to make "optimize" your website and make good metrics within "one click".

Let me an example for my serious client:
This one I just analyzed without using any optimizer plugin or caching plugin. As you can see, TTFB is 818ms which is a lil bit high but acceptable value and FCP is 1.3 s which is slightly high and LCP is 1.5s which is good.
So in this case, we need only "cache" and "cdn" and it will be great metrics and "user experience"

So, when I install any cache or/and optimizer plugin (I tried wp rocket in this case). TTFB value decrease almost half of a value which is did not use one. And FCP slighlty decrease 1.1s (200 ms) but LCP value which is most critical metric increase very very high value, blocking time and CLS also increasing. And also almost all kind of plugins increasing DOM size.

So kind of these plugins increasing user experience (Your layouts have not broke up if you are lucky ) but metrics does not increasing even worst these values mostly decrease.

In shortly, nitropack and kind of these plugins created that reason and when people see good metrics including good user experience then they can ready to pay 100+ bucks a month.

So why I have mentioned in first words that optimization is beginning when you starting to make web pages and you should know how web works, how caching works.
I realized that score doesn't matter! In pagespeed.web the value of First Contentful Paint and
Largest Contentful Paint is important.

Cache plugins work well to improve loading speed on desktop but not on mobile

Anyone else having trouble getting the latest version to work? I was able to install and enable, but do not see any options/settings.

HI,

WP Rocket does not have its own root menu like WordPress plugins usually have. Its menu can be found in the general WordPress settings: /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wprocket

When I am updating the posts I get this error?

WP Rocket cannot configure itself due to missing writing permissions.
Affected file/folder: /public_html/wp-content/cache/background-css/
Troubleshoot: How to make system files writeable

How should I fix this? I have looked at the path file and folder permissions are right! Any change in the setting?

If you use the WP Rocket caching plugin, then in the folder: wp-content/cache/background-css/,
there should not be any files at all.

Actually there is no "background-css" folder in the path, and when I create it after a while it is deleted automaticaly!

What you wanna do is check the permissions of the "cache" folder located inside of "wp-content". That's all that needs fixing in 99% of cases.

It should have a chmod of 755 -- which meeans that User/Owner should have write access on it, as well as execution and readability, while Group and Others/World should have read and execute permissions only.

P.S: I am using Transmit FTP client, but if you're using FileZilla, this is how you can do it.

Once you've set all permissions for User/Owner, the error should be gone.

P.S2: This was also explained in the troubleshooting link the plugin's error message provided.

Thanks for your response. I've tried it several times and also read the troubleshooting article. However, the 'background-css' folder does not exist, and even after creating the folder and setting the permissions to 755, it is being deleted automatically after a while, leading to an error when updating posts or pages.

Most likely, before installing the WP Rocket plugin, another caching plugin was installed on your site.
Perhaps, after its removal, traces of it remained on the site. The remnants of the remote plugin's hiles interfere with WP Rocket's work.
Carefully read this article from the plugin developers and check the files of your site:
https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/99-pages-not-cached-or-optimizations-not-working .
Check the file: .htaccess
A lot depends on this file.
Then look at this article:
https://docs.wp-rocket.me/article/46-how-to-check-if-wp-rocket-is-caching-your-pages .
