Anonfiles shuts down due to overwhelming abuse, also shuts down because site used shady advertisers that commonly redirected malware, tech support scams, and unwanted Google Chrome and Firefox browser extensions.

I'm looking for a plugin with which it is first necessary to fill out a form before downloading a file (for a white paper for example).
I used WP Download manager (WPDM) but this file is no longer maintained on the forum.
Joomunited looks good but it doesn't handle registrations before downloading.
Does anyone know of an alternative to WPDM?

I prefer Gravity forms. In your case, create one form and after submitting, the form will send files by email. Another case is after clicking submit button to call an action to download file but for this you will need to write several lines of code.
