Hello everyone!
I need to get this off my chest - trigger warning.
I think some of the users here, I'm doing my damn-est to stay away from terms like leeches and so on, are gaming the system and I don't think they should be allowed to. Or they do that for whatever the frick reason but it's annoying. To me at least.
There are users, reasonably new ones that only post update requests - not even sure I should call those posts that. And it's trending. I flagged one user at one point in a thread but no one seemed to care. The way I see it they do that in order to bypass the mandatory content thresholds for new user to access certain giveaways, etc. And all they master is a spammy behavior that I feel it must be addressed. I might have done it in the past - just as a nudge to the OP uploader after a while has passed and no update, but never as an exclusive activity as soon as a new update drops. Must be annoying to the resource maintainer too.
I honestly think those ballast users should have those post not count against their contribution quota or be discouraged to do that in the future somehow.
Anyway that was my rant.
Peace!
