require_once ERROR: failed to open stream: No such file or directory

I have a problem with require_once patch
from index.php(a\b\c) refer require_once to header.php(\a\b\c\d):

require_once 'a/b/c/d/header.php';

Structure:

        \--- b
            \--- c
            |  \--- d
            |   |d footer.php
            |   |d header.php
            |c index.php
            |c register.php
