Total nonsense. I own a legit license & the file is identical. Plus, there is no way Tom (the Developer) would ever issue something remotely compromised.
A single "false positive" from an UNKNOWN AV company is nothing to be worries about (especially when they falsely flag up most files)
2.4 is final and has been automatically pushed out to all licensed sitesIt is 2.4 RC or stable?
Most false positives come from compressed JS files. a few AV tools not smart enough to know what's real malware.
Hello dear friends. I installed the theme, then installed and activated 2.4.0 as a plugin. Afterwards, I get the message "License Key Not receiving premium updates" on the generatepress page. Is this a problem? Shouldn't it say license active?... thank you!
It's working - GeneratePress Pro is activated fine and doesn't need a license to work. You're good to go.
The benefit of a paid license is you can update the plugin from within Wordpress. Plus you also get access to the excellent technical support of Tom & the team - which is well worth the license fee alone.
I wasn't sure when I saw the article I mentioned there. I didn't realize Premium was active. Thank you for your quick response and help.(I hope this conversation will help if there are people like me who cannot understand this)
Yup. I have updated both: the plugin and theme of Generate Press. No problems here.
Side note: Make always an backup before updating.
